People talk highly about the ‘business’ side of being an entrepreneur, but don’t mention what it takes from you at a mental, emotional and physical level.

When I started my business, I didn’t think that it would take more from me mentally and emotionally, so I just prepared myself for the physical part of it.

I just started a business and dived into being and entrepreneur without hesitation of what it will cost me.

I found out that the more I invested in myself and my business, the more I had to keep myself grounded.

As entrepreneurs and business owners, we need to keep reminding ourselves always, of why we are doing the things we do and why it’s important to us.

Going into entrepreneurship, no one tells you it’s okay to stop, or to take time for yourself to unwind. We just keep pushing ourselves without any consideration of what we are doing to our mental state of mind in our continuous efforts to succeed.

Depression is something so easy to come but so hard to go, it lingers with you for lengthy periods of time. “30% of all entrepreneurs experience depression” according to a study by Dr. Michael Freeman, a clinical professor at the University of California, San Francisco.

It is very important to keep yourself grounded as an entrepreneur and businessperson, as this helps with better decision making and it is only so, can we move forward in our businesses. Reminding yourself of why taking time is vital to your mental and emotional health will make it much easier to do so. It also important to remember, that if your health crashes, you will still have to take time to rest.

Ask yourself a few questions:

Why is it important for you to rest?

How could rest benefit your business?

How does it help with you mental, emotional and physical health?

Nothing is wrong with taking time to detox so that better ideas can flow. Don’t push yourself to the point of no return.

Simple things like spending time with family and friends could help, do things you enjoy doing.

Afterall, what is the point of working, if you can’t enjoy what you’ve worked for?

Hi there. My name is Crystal Foyle.

I have been a life coach for my business “Beautiful Thoughts” for the last 6 months. I choose the name Beautiful Thoughts because it reflected persons choosing to only focus on the beautiful things in life.

When I just started coaching I centered my field around Confidence and Transitional Coaching. I recently changed my field to Personal Life Coaching because my clients came to me more about Personal Life.
