April has just begun and we’re hoping you have your books in order. Don’t use Covid-19 as an excuse not to. It is of extreme importance that you take time at the end of each month, to REVIEW your stats. Did you review Covid March yet?

• Look at your numbers – how much did you improve over 31 days?/or the last 3 months?

Get SPECIFIC with your numbers:

• Sales-$?

• New Customers / Lost Customers-?

• Website Traffic-?

• Email Subscribers-?

• Advertising Dollars-$?

• Advertising Results-?

• Social Media Followers total and per network-?

• Monthly Profit or Monthly Losses-$?

• Expenses-$?

Record the numbers – write them down!

• Did you hit your goals and objectives you set at the beginning of the month or year? Why / Why not?)

• Based on these results, what works? What didn’t?

• Based on these results, what do you want to focus on this month/year?

NB: Be sure to record any structural changes and it’s effects on your business finances as a result of Covid-19.

This is not the fun part of marketing, I know, but it will certainly give you a lot of data to make the next set of decisions in your business.

You know what will help with your records and make it super easy to do? My Business Record-Keeping Journal! Yes, it covers all of the above.
